TranzAlpine Honey
TranzAlpine Honey is the largest certified organic honey producer in New Zealand. Out of 6735 registered beekeeping enterprises in New Zealand, there are only 9 organically certified honey producers, of which TranzAlpine is one.
They started their journey as family beekeepers in 1910, and have been certified BioGro NZ™ organic since 1993, celebrating an incredible 110 years of beekeeping in 2020.
“We started by producing some small batch artisan honey from Canterbury plains. With Manuka demand growth, we expanded production to the West Coast and North Canterbury by adding Manuka honey into our assortment.“
Today they produce over 27 certified organic honey products, health supplements and remedies including 17 different kinds of premium organic honey and organic honey fusions, enjoyed in over 28 countries across 5 continents.
Every batch of their honey is unique in its own right and can be traced from the QR code on each jar right back to its individual hive.
They are also FDA and USDA organic equivalence approved and stock over 200 speciality organic stores throughout the United States.
To date, they have exported over 1 million jars of honey worldwide and are the single biggest global supplier of all organic honey to the EU – UK included – supplying an incredible 68% of all organic honey imported into the EU every year.
